Robbie at 8 months
Robbie turned 8 months a few days ago. He doesn't fit into a lot of his size 6-9 month clothes anymore so we've had to buy some 12 month clothes. My little boy is growing so quickly! He's almost out of the baby clothes and into the toddler sizes. He's crawling forward now, but only does it if he really wants to reach something like a doggie toy or another forbiden object. He's mostly working on trying to stand up. He grabs onto anything near him and uses it to lift himself into a standing position. He can stand for a little while holding onto something.
He's discovered books lately. He loves looking at simple picture books - mainly the ones that have one item per page rather than entire stories. His favorite one has trucks, cars and other modes of transportation. He starts bouncing up and down in my lap in anticipation whenever we pick up that book. He likes to look at them over and over during the day.
He's eating some finger foods now. Cheerios and Kicks are two types of cereal that have small round pieces he can pick up with his index finger and thumb and put in his mouth. We can only put one in front of him at a time though and make sure he's eaten the one in his mouth, because he'd happily stuff many in his mouth at once and start gagging.
