I decided to create this weblog to follow the baby's from pre-birth and everything after. I'm currently 25 weeks along and the due date is 2/25/2004. I'm kind of hoping he'll be born on the 29th because next year is a leap year and I think it would be fun to get to tease him about only having a birthday every four years. We know from our ultrasound that it'll be a boy. And we have chosen the name Robert Thomas (for now). It was a bit difficult to find a name that would sound good in Czech, Dutch and English and I'm glad we found this one.
The pregnancy has been pretty uneventful so far. My ob & nurses call it the "perfect textbook pregnancy" whenever I see them for a check-up. I had a bit of nausea during the first trimester, but nothing overwhelming. Now in the later stages of my second trimester I mainly have to pee a lot and eat a lot. I think he's sitting right on top of my bladder so I have a bit of soreness there. Other than that, it's going great! I've been able to feel him kick pretty regularly since week 19 or so. He seems to be especially active in the middle of the night. I hope that's not an indication of what his sleeping pattern will be like after he's born!
