Robbie turns 1 today! He had a doctor's check-up and is healthy. He's been sick a lot in the past few months and he just had an ear infection last week, but that's gone now. He weighed at 19 lb 5 oz and 30 3/4 inches (8.8 kilo, 78 cm). His doctor said we can start giving him cow's milk, no more formula. She said to give him breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner and no inbetween snacks so he gets used to being without food for a few hours.
For the first time in a long time he's been interested in food today. He ate most of his breakfast (yogurt) and even wanted a few bites of my oatmeal with bananas. He also ate most of his lunch. When he was sick he only wanted to drink formula and had no interest in food. Hopefully that's over now. I noticed today that two of his molars are comming through and unfortunatelly that's making him a bit grumpy.
Jef took the day off and we spent part of the day at the park. It's a beautiful day - 80F and sunny.
Robbie had his 1 year birthday party on saturday. Unfortunatelly he's just recovering from an ear infection and was very grumpy all day. He did not enjoy his party much at all.
Here's some photos:

How much longer do I have to sit here?

Robbie would rather eat his new toys than his cake

Forget all the new toys, I'd rather play with my old ones

Robbie's aunt Kirsti made this sweater for Robbie before he was born and his grandma Marieke helped. It finally fits him and we had a few colder days so he could wear it. It has the American flag on the back, the Czech flag on the front and the Dutch flag on the bottom and sleeves. It looks great on him!
