My mom just emailed me that she ordered the above set of clothing for Robie's first few weeks. It looks great! I think he'll be dressed better than his parents most of the time. :)
We finally finished the baby room. It still needs a few decorative touches, but the bulk of the painting work is done, and we have the furniture we need. It has an underwater theme. The walls are painted pale green (despite the bluish appearance in some of the photos), and we used an overhead projector to paint the dolphins, whale, submarine, and stencils for smaller fish.
Of course with our luck, the baby will be afraid of water. :)

This picture was taken around week 30 (mid december).
We had our last babyless Christmas and New Year's eve celebration. On Christmas Eve we had dinner with our neighbors Dawn and Darrin and their baby, so it wasn't quite babyless. On Christmas day we had a traditional turkey feast with my friend Jill and her family. Jef had two days off, so we had a nice, lazy 4-day weekend at home. Cozmo got lots of toys to play with, and unlike previous years managed to not destroy all of them within 5 minutes. He did figure out several days before Christmas which stocking was his and would sometimes sit underneath it, looking from the stocking to us as if to say "What's the holdup? Give it to me now!".
On New Year's eve we went to our friends Kelly and David for a small get together. I had a bit of a hard time staying up till midnight, but we had fun and I got to ring in the New Year with some sparkling apple cider.
I wonder how different these holidays, especially Christmas will be next year. The baby should be about 10 months at Christmas time, old enough to get some joy out of opening presents, but probably too young to understand that the gift is what he's supposed to play with, not the wrapping. :)
